GovExec 2026 Evening of Honors

About the Event
At The Wharf, GovExec’s 2026 Evening of Honors brought together leaders from across government, media, and the public sector for an evening of recognition, conversation, and celebration. The experience unfolded in three distinct moments: an intimate VIP Reception, a lively General Reception, and a seated Dinner & Program honoring this year’s Hall of Fame inductees, Susan Monarez and William J. Walker.
Hosted with remarks from GovExec’s Tim Hartman, Tanya Ballard Brown, and Frank Konkel, the program reflected GovExec’s role at the center of civic leadership and public service. AT&T, the evening’s main sponsor, activated a branded lounge overlooking the dinner space, complete with an larger-than-life Lite-Brite that invited guests into a playful, interactive moment. Mediterranean Isles-inspired décor from Social Supply, lush florals by Helen Olivia, catering from Susan Gage, and electric violin by Stephanie Strings of Lucy Black Entertainment created an elegant, transportive atmosphere from arrival through the final toast.
