Puck First Amendment Gala

March 4, 2026

About the Event

For the fourth consecutive year, Puck partnered with Stratus Firm to produce the Annual First Amendment Gala at the Résidence de France, convening leaders across journalism, politics, business, and culture for an evening centered on the role of media in public discourse. Remarks from Ambassador Laurent Bili, Puck News Co-Founder and Editor in Chief Jon Kelly, and honoree Andrew Ross Sorkin underscored the event’s intersection of journalism, influence, and civic conversation.

Stratus led the full production and guest experience strategy, helping translate Puck’s editorial voice into a live environment that felt intelligent, social, and distinctly Washington. Guests engaged with custom political cartoon portraits, a Declaration of Independence-inspired photo activation, and a large-scale Puck Magazine Wall, while a live jazz quartet and DJ Terran carried the evening from formal reception into lively late-night gathering. The result was an experience that balanced diplomatic elegance with contemporary media culture, creating an event that felt both editorial in spirit and immersive in execution.
