Event Challenge: This event is one of the primary fundraiser’s for RAMW’s scholarship program, Educated Eats. One of the biggest challenges we face with this event is creating opportunities for everyone to make a donation at any level. One creative solution we had to this challenge was to work with restaurant industry event sponsors to collect donations of wine and liquor for a “Wine and Spirits Pull”, in which participants paid $50 for the chance to randomly choose a bottle ranging in cost from $25 to $200. This tactic created opportunity for those who did not want to participate in the standard silent or live auction to donate in a fun and meaningful way.
